We the undersigned call on the Council to reject planning permission for the construction of thousands of homes, warehouses and retail outlets on the green fields of Eastern Green (Application reference: OUT/2018/3225). The destruction of the many trees, fields and vulnerable ecosystems is at odds with the Climate Emergency declared by Coventry City Council and threatens to aggravate the existing air quality crisis in the city. This development is significantly bigger than that set out in the Local Plan and will place an enormous strain on local infrastructure. Therefore we call upon members of the Planning Committee to reject this inappropriate development.
