The crossing site at the Green Lane school entrance has for many years been manned by a lollipop lady but with recent funding cuts this service has been withdrawn. Green Lane is a very busy thoroughfare and traffic at peak school times is potentially dangerous to both children and adults crossing the road in this area. It is a travesty that the lollipop lady can no longer be funded however a zebra crossing may assist in mitigating potential accidents that may occur since the removal of this service.
