GYMNASTICS NEED YOUR SUPPORT
With the closure of our Gymnastics Facility in the Sport & Leisure Centre looming, and the possible closure of our Gymnastics Facility at Woodlands Academy School.
We the signatories call upon the City Council to firstly recognise Coventry Empire Gymnastic Academy "CIC" being the only "Not for Profit" Community Interest Gymnastics Company in Coventry & Warwickshire with a "Asset Lock" as the City`s Gymnastics Club for direct Local Government support in building Gymnastics for the City & Surrounding areas.
We ask that Gymnastics is including within the 10 year Sporting Strategy for the City, and is helped to grow like other sports, by giving like for like support that other sports enjoy to grow.
We continue by asking for the replacement facility of the closure of Sport & Leisure Centre to remain within the City Walls with suitable facilities sort within our City for our Gymnastics Community, by way of asset transfer or the new build of a standalone Gymnastics facility. In doing so honouring their conclusion of "Not against the Building of a purpose build facility in our City" in past gymnastics petitions conclusion.
