We request the Council to review the Council’s policy to only install advisory disabled bays outside people’s properties which are not enforceable. Residents with mobility issues struggle to park in their marked disabled bays outside their homes because inconsiderate people often park in them. This means that you have to park further away and struggle to get home, or go knocking on doors to find the culprit.

Disabled parking bays, similar to those in the city centre which are enforceable would guarantee disabled people a parking space outside their homes. The Council’s policy needs to be reconsidered.
