Purcell Road is a 20mph residential road that has many cars parked on it but is also used a busy through road, connecting Sewell Highway and Henley Road. The speed bumps that are currently on Purcell Road are very low and act more as a children’s ride. The traffic that comes through does not have the correct restrictions to keep to a low speed limit. Many dirt bikes travel down this road, which is loud and disruptive, especially of an evening. The most concerning part is that there are children crossing this road mornings and afternoons as it is right next to Courthouse Green primary school. The speed bumps need enhancing and to be made as a more reliable and enforcing road calming strategy as at the moment, they are pointless.
