I think that there is just too many planning permission being granted for student accommadation to be built in the city centre. Yes it is good that Coventry University is the best modern University and that they are atracting more students, but it is just getting out of hand with student accommadation popping everywhere in the city centre. It is not that I am against the University wanting more students but it is coming at the expense of the city centre. It is simple not big enough to have these buildings pop up just for students, we should have more mixed use developments being granted or people who do build mixed use developments being attracted to the city to really enhance it more. We as full time citizens living, working and wanting to spend more time to do more leisurely acctivities in the city centre do not have that opportunity due to land and unused buildings being sold for student accommodation. We have had enough of not being listened to and given no thought of when making these decisions for the city.
