Following many negative comments surrounding the new A45/Broad Lane road island there is an obvious solution to issues, a road tunnel from Baginton to Allesley.
Based on public consultation of the My Eastern Green Facebook page and anonymous letters within the Coventry Evening Telegraph it is clear a 3.5 mile long tunnel costing an estimated £105 million to Coventry council tax payer, taking 5 years to build is proportional to the amount of collisions which will be avoided due to drivers entering island incorrectly and being obvious to new road layout.
Furthermore a tunnel this long will be excellent for anyone with high power vehicles as the echo with me astronomical.
I am sure all readers will agree the tunnel is certainly an improvement on road island, which can be replaced with a 4 mile fly over or by pass toll road following HS2 route or changed to a regular set of traffic lights, where traffic will only occur for 1 mile in both directions on Broad Lane from A45.
