Car Parking Issues at Holmsdale Road, CV65BJ

There are major concerns with the proposed plans by Coventry City Council to implement a parking meter in the Holmsdale Road car park. The continued shopping and commuter traffic and relentless parking problems both in the car park and the street in general have caused a number of issues for residents in not being able to park their vehicles on Holmsdale Road currently without the parking meter charges in the car park.
The introduction of a parking meter will cause significant issues for residents as those (shoppers and commuters) who park their vehicles in the car park will park their vehicles on the street as a result of the meter charges resulting in major parking issues for residents. The quality of life in an already problematic road will simply worsen creating unnecessary burden and distress to residents, particularly if residents need to park their vehicles in the car park due to lack of space in the street. Provisions need to be made for residents to ensure that sufficient allocation of parking is made available. This petition is to call a stop to the proposed plans to implement the metered system for the reasons explained.
