The junction has 3 lanes towards Canley, 3 lanes (1 a bus lane) towards B'Ham. When travelling towards this junction there is always a bottleneck that inevitably starts at the roundabout (trading estate, fountain, unipart). This is because people get fed up of waiting, so at the traffic lights before A45 lights(Sainsbury lights) they jump by sitting in the left lane which should be to go towards Canley. They then put indicators on and push back in for going towards Bhai. This then means less traffic crosses the lights or just sits there mid lane, this then causes blocks when lights change for other directions.
My request is: get rid of bus lane. It sits empty most of the time. Make the bus lane ' buses & cars Tile Hill only'. Middle lane 'Tile Hill & B'Ham', 3rd lane 'B'ham' At Sainsbury lights same signage. This will put people in correct lane plus extra lane to use will keep the flow of traffic.
You may need to put a 'criss cross square-foot keep clear square' actually on A45 too. Drivers continually block lanes again causing problems.
Bring your team for a week 5.00 - 6.00 PM you will see for yourself how bad it is!
