Speaking on behalf of parents/carers of children at Pearl Hyde School, I would like to report how dangerous it is trying to cross Dorchester Way during peak times.
Long gone are the days of a lolipop lady/man when as a parent you would feel reassured that your children are going to arrive at school safely. Children cannot be expexted to cross the road themselves outside the school in a safe manner, not only because of themselves but because of drivers not paying enough attention to the children/parents trying to cross the road.
if there was a zebra crossing in place, I'm sure parents, carers, teachers and children would feel much safer and happier walking to school knowing they have a safe place to cross.
