Stop banning skateboarding in the city centre or Fund an adequate skate-park for the community.

In light of recent proposals to introduce a "Public Space Protection Order" (PSPO) We the skate community & other like minded people as a whole ask Coventry city council to support work with the local community to provide a safe and appropriate facilities to practice and enhance our skills.

With future prospects in sight such as the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and a new introduction of skateboarding to the roster of sports, influencing the next generation into alternatives such as skateboarding has never been more important. By helping the community now this will lead to more skateboarders having an opportunity to follow there passion into success, it teaches social skills, creating friendship with complete diversity. The skateboarding market is worth an estimated $4.8 billion in annual revenue with 11.08 million active skateboarders in the world. With a growing industry for skateboarding culture in Coventry there is no benefit but to embrace the economic and cultural gains in the community.

We have Tried to progress with our skate-park facilities for the last 8+ years and this feels like a door slammed in the face of our pride and passion.

Please do not take without giving, or you leave us with nothing.

Kind Regards.
Please support our community!!!
